Introducing Kierkegaard
by Dave Robinson, illustrated by Oscar Zarate
I knew I wanted to read something by Kierkegaard, but not sure where to start, I picked up this thin little introduction. The book is a heavily illustrated step-by-step summary of Kierkegaard's life and writings. It is very basic, but succeeds in clearly outlining his most influential beliefs and placing them in the proper historical context. This book does its job just fine, but I could probably have learned as much just by doing a google search.I had originally contemplated reading Either/Or, but was put off by the book's heft, Mike suggested that I read Fear and Trembling, instead.
