Merry Christmas to Me

As in, music I got for Christmas, including music I bought for myself:

The Black Keys - Rubber Factory
Gritty blues recorded using a "medium-fi" technique.
Galactic - Cooling Off
A bluesy-jazz-funk gumbo.
Stanton Moore - Flyin' the Koop
The drummer from Galactic blasts out some funky grooves leading a group that includes the likes of Chris Wood and Karl Denson.
Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights
Hailed as a milestone in the advance of post-punk pop.
Joseph Arthur - Our Shadows Will Remain
This along with the Interpol cd came from George. I've never heard of Arthur before, but I trust george's taste enough to be able to recommend this cd without having listened to it yet.
Medeski, Martin, & Wood - Farmer's Reserve
Experimental meanderings recorded in "The Shack" in 1997 following the completion of their Shack Man recording. (Actually, this one was just lent to me, but if I like it, I just may buy it for myself.)
