End of the World Party in My Ears

Tom Waits - Real Gone
Um. Not much to say here. Except, "wow." This is cd is all Tom Waits, but even more so.
Medeski, Martin, & Wood - End of the World Party (just in case)
MMW have put together a masterpiece. It's everything you have come to expect from them, except with the rough edges sanded off and polished to a high shine.
Antonio Pinto & Ed Côrtez - City of God (Soundtrack)
A lively brew of effervescent Brazilian rhythms.
Tommy Guerrero - Soul Food Taqueria
Tommy Guerrero fits perfectly in the slot between the sultry City of God and the rollicking Ruckus.
Galactic - Ruckus
Hard drivin' bluesy funk (or is it funky blues?) for the new millenium.
Mofro - Lochloosa
Heavily blues influenced rock. Pity the poor Mofro, they can't compete with the other cds in my changer right now, but they do put up a damn good fight.
