Team America, World Police

My advice to you is so obvious it's stupid: if you're easily offended, don't see this movie. This movie is vulgar, tasteless, and, well, hilarious.

First off, there is something inherenty funny about marionette puppetry. The film is filled with R-rated scenes of violence and vulgarity, typical of most action movies you see today, but when acted out by puppets, the mayhem becomes absurd.

Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone use satire as a WMD, targeting a specific group, but inflicting a lot of collateral damage. The intellengence community is collectively lampooned by a supercomputer that speaks in a Lebowski-like voice and is referred to as I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E. (We're never told what the acronym stands for, appartenly Parker and Stone couldn't think of anything suitable revolting.) Liberal Hollywood activists perhaps bear the brunt of the attack, playing unwitting dupes and defenders of this movie's version of Dr. Evil, North Korea's Kim Jong Il.

Parker & Stone try to provide a moral to the story, but after sleeping on it, I'm left feeling unsatisfed and well, kind of dirty. It's kind of like a trick-or-treater on the morning after a Halloween candy-binge, all you're left with is a queasy feeling in your stomach.
