Henri Cartier-Bresson 1908-2004
Henri Cartier-Bresson, an inspiration to generations of photographers, passed away Monday at the age of 95.
A master in the use of available light, Cartier-Bresson was always able to capture the magical moment in an everyday setting. Using only the simple tools of the photojournalist, a 35mm Leica and a 50mm lens, he was able to capture images of lasting importance and enduring beauty.
