Tips From the Master
It's been a while since I've posted anything here! Unfortunately, I've been too busy to get into the darkroom much lately so I don't have too many new experiences (embarrassments?) to relate.
I do want to make a special note of two books I picked up today from the Ansel Adams Photography Series: The Negative and The Print. I flipped through the books a little at lunchtime and I can't wait to dig in.
There is a big section in The Negative that's devoted to the Zone System. I know very little about Ansel Adams' revolutionary approach to optimizing exposure, but based others' recommendations, I'm looking forward to learning more.
The Print looks fascinating as well, illustrated with many examples of darkroom techniques from the master himself. The only problem: which book to read first?
