Movies of the Dead

This weekend, our friend George was having fun listing some of the movies directed by George Romero:

Trying to remember Sam Raimi's name, I came up with a couple more:

And then there was the recent horror/comedy:

So of course, this got me thinking of other "dead" movies:

Just two more:

Did I miss any?

As a Nicolas Cage fan I have to mention the 1999 movie Bringing Out the Dead. :)

How could we forget Ed Wood's "Orgy of the Dead"? :) :) :)

How could we forget? Easily. ;)

Nothing tops Better Off Dead, but what about...

Dead Alive? (I think that may be NC-17/X)
Dead Again?
Evil Dead 2? :)

Time to go check Hilary's IMDB link... D'oh! How could I forget Dead Ringer? I distinctly remember trying to watch that our junior year on our VOA console color TV that lasted up until like the 4th round of the US Open.

yeah, "trying" being the key word there, I think, as I (vaguely) recall.

and yay! our $99 console tv (Willie still owes us his share)--watching Ivan Lendl suddenly shrink down into a tiny white dot in the middle of the big, blank screen is an enduring image in my mind.

Evil Dead 2 I saw on video in Germany as "Tanz der Teufel, Zwei." I don't think much was lost in the translation.
